My first task was to come up with a new brand for The Fieldhead Hotel, starting with a new logo. Their existing materials were quite busy and difficult for guests to understand and navigate, and so my job was to simplify this whilst still maintaining a professional look. In order for the new look to still fit in with other aspects of the hotel which would not be changed immediately, I chose to keep the existing colour scheme but use them in a more modern and simplified way. New signage was designed for around the hotel, which was brighter and more modern than what had been there before. The same principle was applied to the menus in the restaurant and the tariff card etc. The new brand was carried throughout the newly designed material, giving the hotel a more professional and uniform look, following Alex Polizzi’s vision to make the hotel less cluttered and more appealing to guests of all ages.
Once this was done, the hotel’s website was next on the to-do list. I came up with a totally new design, which gives the hotel a clean and luxurious feel. The site is a lot easier to navigate than their previous one as much of the information has been condensed, again with the idea of ease of use for potential guests, whilst also being easy to use for Julian and hotel staff who may need to update information. A new more modern booking system was also implemented on the new website.
